So if you are anything like me, you hate having dry lips. I can’t even go to bed unless I put some kind of a delicious balm on my lips. I carry them in my purse, I have one by my bedside, & a ton more at my makeup/beauty desk. I insist on them being completely natural or having mostly organic ingredients, and free of parabens, petrolatum, petrochemicals, mineral oil, synthetic oils, artificial flavors/fragrances and any other extremely toxic substances. I have tried all kinds of lip balms, and I think I am pretty much an expert in this category! So here’s a list of my favorite lip balms that make the grade:

Intelligent Nutrients Lip DeliveryIntelligent Nutrients: 100% certified Lip Delivery Nutrition

Review: Tastes slightly minty for the first few seconds, comes in a roll-up stick, pure lip nutrition and only $12. Great for women and men, and basically I could never live without it!

*Beauty Tip* This is also a great balm to use on dry body spots, bruises, & scratches!

Ingredients include: 100% organic coconut, sunflower, castor seed, palm kernel oil and waxes

NUDE Skincare: NUDE Lips

Review: Free of any taste (great for those of you who dislike any kind of flavor), very emolliant, incredible in windy situations, only downside is that you have to put your finger into the container because as it is based in coconut oil/butter it needs your body temperature to heat up and melt. I dug part of mine out and put it into a smaller container for travel, and keep the rest by my bed as my nightly treatment. Last time I checked it was $14 in the US, but don’t hold me to that! Great for women & men.

*Beauty Tip* This is another a great balm to use on dry body spots, bruises, & scratches as well as cuticles!

Ingredients: organic cupuacu and shea butters, coconut oil, tahitian vanilla monoi

Burts bees lipBurt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm

Review: Very pleasant, delicious tasting (hard to describe – honey-mint?!), packaged in a recycled plastic tube OR a yellow metal tin (which I don’t recommend), very soothing, very affordable ( I saw it on amazon for $2.79) – which is especially great if you are someone who loses things often, or your dog eats them (which has happened to me not once, but twice my friends, and it wasn’t the less expensive stuff!)

Ingredients: 100% natural but NOT organic – thus the price difference I am sure….beeswax, coconut oil, sunflower oil, sweet almond, pepermint, rosemary, canola and soy bean oil (NOTE: for those of you with allergies, this is not the best for you!)
